How to Catch a Star - recommended by Owl Readers Club

This being the first book review in collaboration with Owl Readers Club!

The first book that brought fame and recognition to Oliver Jeffers, a highly talented writer and illustrator who have won multiple awards for the many children’s books that he has written and illustrated. For those who have never heard of Oliver Jeffers, Owl Readers Club has a special feature article on him which can be found here.

Once there was a boy, and that boy loved stars very much. So much so that he decided to catch one of his very own. But how? Waiting for them to grow tired from being up in the sky all night doesn't work. Climbing to the top of the tallest tree? No, not tall enough. The boy has a rocket ship . . . but it is made of paper and doesn't fly well at all. Finally, just when the boy is ready to give up, he learns that sometimes things aren't where, or what, we expect them to be.

The ending of the book is sure to delight many and this is a book that your little ones will remember and want you to read it to them repeatedly as a bed time story. Owl Readers Club recommends this book for ages 4 to 6 but one of the founders has stated that their eldest son who is turning 3, simply loves this book!

Owl Readers Club have bundled this classic big format paperback book together with other titles from Oliver Jeffers at a very special price. If you are interested to purchase this book, please feel free to check out OJ four-books bundle.

Till the next book review, Happy Lunar New Year and all the best for the year ahead!
