Here, you get everything you need for a perfect family pastime: indulgent dishes, the views of the sea on the horizon, the sounds of ship horns as the majestic liners pass near the coast, lush greenery around, and the most fascinating interior. The cafe looks like a cozy museum with loads of retro memorabilia, paintings, vintage vehicles, nostalgic gadgets, and antique furniture. The menu of the restaurant also combines local and traditional dishes with a contemporary twist.
It has a rich history of its own: in the past, the building of the restaurant was used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a fault control and telephone exchange.
The menu of the Coastal Settlement is filled with local flavors. For example, an Afternoon High tea menu (daily 3.30 - 5.30 pm) is inspired by the multicultural tastes from the Straits Settlements. There you will find a unique blend of Asian delights such as siew mai, spring rolls, and beef rendang with prawn crackers, as well as classic treats including assorted cakes and pastries.
