Our founder’s story
On 25 Aug 2017, mama Kevy, an engineer turned work-from-home mum, organised a play date at her home located at Pasir Ris, Singapore. Her goal was to make sure the playdate was both fun and educational for her son and his playmate. The playdate being a huge success, encouraged Kevy to plan more such play dates, and that was how Hommeet was born!
Since then, Kevy has gained experience in organising kids activities for small groups of four to even those that cater to sixty families. Her creativity was rewarded when she was recently appointed by the National Museum of Singapore to be a Sensory Play Planner & Coordinator for children.
From the beginning of Hommeet, Kevy has loved sharing her experience in conducting the perfect home playdate. She also enjoys providing support to help other parent-organisers kickstart their Hommeet sessions. To date, more than 500 Hommeet sessions have been organised, and more than 150 parents have registered as organisers.
Now she invites more families to join her journey to make PLAY & LEARN more accessible and to make the home a place to meet new friends - to play, learn and grow together!
